What is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent fasting (IF) is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of eating and fasting. It doesn't specify which foods to eat, but rather when to eat them.

Popular Methods

16/8 Method

Fast for 16 hours, eat during an 8-hour window. Most people skip breakfast and eat between 12 PM and 8 PM.

5:2 Diet

Eat normally for 5 days, restrict calories (500-600) for 2 non-consecutive days.

Eat-Stop-Eat

One or two 24-hour fasts per week.
